The Fairfax EggBank Travel Donor Program allows women from across the United States to participate in our egg donation process by traveling to one of our selected partner clinics for the retrieval phase.

Once approved, you and a companion (18+) will travel to a clinic for the final stages of the donation cycle, where we’ll cover your travel, accommodations, and offer a stipend for your time.

What are the eligibility requirements for the Travel Donor Program?

To be eligible for the travel program, you have to:

  • Be between the ages of 19 and 30
  • Have a BMI between 18 and 29
  • Hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Provide 3 generations of your family medical history
  • Be able to travel to one of our participating clinics
  • Have a Real ID or valid passport (required for domestic travel starting May 7, 2025)
  • Be able to travel and stay near a clinic for 6–8 days

What’s Covered by the Travel Donor Program?

  • $50/day stipend for each day you’re at the retrieval location (includes travel days)
  • $100 transportation stipend for rides to/from the clinic or airport

What’s the Travel Egg Donation Process Like?

Step 1: Apply Online

Start with an application on our website. If you’re a potential match, a donor coordinator will reach out to schedule a virtual interview and info session.

Step 2: Screening

You’ll complete a combination of local and clinic-based screenings, including:

  • Medical evaluation
  • Virtual mental health screening
  • Same-day travel may be arranged for your in-person clinic appointment

Step 3: Donation Cycle & Travel

Once accepted, you’ll start hormone medications and monitor your body’s response through local appointments. When it’s time for your retrieval, you’ll travel to the selected clinic for 6–8 days.

What Happens at the Retrieval Location?

  • You and your companion will travel to the clinic city and stay nearby.
  • The retrieval itself is a brief procedure (about 20 minutes), but you’ll be at the clinic for approximately 2 hours, including prep and recovery.
  • Your companion is required to stay with you on retrieval day and for two days after.
  • A follow-up appointment may be scheduled to ensure you’re cleared to return home safely.

Where Will I Travel?

Our current partner clinic locations include:

  • Fairfax, VA
  • Dallas, TX
  • Oak Brook, IL
  • Newport Beach, CA
  • Columbia, SC

Clinic placement is based on availability and your travel logistics. Your coordinator will help match you with the most convenient clinic for your trip.
