How We Support Families Beyond Infertility Awareness Week

National Infertility Awareness Week

Donor egg parents and intended parents have experienced more challenges than most in building their families, and their determination is inspiring. This is National Infertility Awareness Week, sponsored by RESOLVE The National Infertility Association. This year, this period of awareness is keenly felt by everyone struggling with infertility and those who have dedicated their lives to helping hopeful parents realize their dreams.

Our dedicated team at Fairfax EggBank is always excited to hear from frozen donor egg parents who have successful pregnancies. When we receive messages and photos of their families over the years as their children grow, we consider it an honor to be part of the team that made their dreams a reality.

Supporting Frozen Donor Egg Intended Parents Through COVID-19

Right now, donor egg intended parents face harder challenges with stay-at-home requirements across the country and limited or no opportunity to plan when treatments can begin until those restrictions are lifted. Your commitment to become a parent is facing obstacles that are out of your control, and it can feel like you are alone – but you are not.

There are some things you can control and there are resources you can turn to for support.

At Fairfax EggBank:

  • You can still choose your ideal donor and purchase a cohort.
  • Your cohorts can be kept safely in storage until you and your clinic are ready.
  • Financial options are available to help you as you make your decision.

Infertility Support Resources

There are several support networks with parents and specialists who want to be supportive through your journey. In addition to RESOLVE, there are information sites, support groups, individual bloggers and podcasts, and therapists, all resources that may give you, a partner, and your family some comfort.

Read more in our Infertility Support Resources Round-up.

Individuals and couples who have faced infertility are sharing their stories, changing the conversation, and providing reassurance to those who are on this journey to parenthood.
